What is Voucher Reissue?
Voucher reissue lets you convert your wallet balance into a new, spendable voucher code.
This is useful when you want to share value with someone else, use your balance at a retailer
that accepts voucher codes, or simply prefer a voucher format over airtime.
The reissued voucher is a brand-new code generated by FinWallet. It has the same denomination
as the cashout amount and is valid for use within the same programme.
How to Cash Out via Voucher Reissue
- Open FinWallet and navigate to your wallet.
- Tap Cash Out.
- Select Voucher Reissue as the cashout channel.
- Enter the amount you want to convert.
- Review the summary showing the denomination of the new voucher code that will be issued.
- Tap Confirm Cashout.
- Your new voucher code is displayed on screen and sent to your registered contact. Save it immediately.
Receiving Your Voucher Code
The new voucher code is shown on the confirmation screen as soon as the cashout completes.
It is also sent via your programme's notification channel (SMS or email, depending on configuration).
Store the code safely — it can be used to claim value just like any other voucher.
What Happens to Your Balance
- The cashout amount is reserved from your available balance immediately.
- Once the voucher is generated, the amount settles and your balance is reduced permanently.
- If the generation fails, the reserved amount is released back to available automatically.
Important: Reissued voucher codes are single-use and cannot be cancelled once
delivered. Treat them like cash — do not share the code with anyone you don't intend to give it to.
Voucher Not Received?
If the cashout completed (check your transaction history) but you didn't receive the code:
- Check your notification channel — SMS or email depending on your account settings.
- Allow a few minutes for delivery.
- If the code still hasn't arrived after 15 minutes, contact support at support@finwallet.co.za with your cashout reference number.
